The Supers & The Stinkers

Welcome to the first edition of The Supers and The Stinkers . In this article we look at the league's daily top 5 performers from every position, the S-tat stuffing U-ltra P-roductive & E-fficient R-oto S-tuds or as we like to call them The Supers . Also in this same article we have The Stinkers, the day's worst 5 performers that we feel literally took a dump on your roster spot and gave you a pile of sh*t. These are the players that stink, period. (yup, no acronyms needed here, the name says it all.) So here's today's best and worst:

The Supers

PG - Devin Harris - New Jersey Nets

Devin Harris, who missed 4 games due to a wrist injury, notched 24 pts (7-14 FGs, 10-11FTs), 5 rebs, a season-high 14 asts, 3 TOs and one block in another loss to the struggling Pistons. The Nets are now 4-43 for the season and are on pace of getting the distinction of having the worst record of all-time by an NBA team.

Honorable Mention:
Aaron Brooks - Houston Rockets
24 pts (10-20 FGs, 2 3s, 2-4 FTs) 8 rebs, 6 asts and 2 TOs.

SG - Monta Ellis - Golden State Warriors

Monta Ellis filled up the stat sheet with 2's against the Houston Rockets, scoring 34 pts (13-22 FGs, 2 3's, 6-9 FTs) 2 rebs, 2 asts, 2 stls, 2 blks and 2 TOs in "just" 38.4 mins. Monta Ellis will be relied upon even more now that the Warriors second-leading scorer Corey Maggete is sidelined with a hip pointer.

Honorable Mention:
Joe Johnson - Atlanta Hawks
37 pts (13-20 FGs, 3 3's, 8-8 FTs) 4 rebs, 3 asts, 1 stl and 5 TO's.

SF - Kevin Durant - Oklahoma Thunder

All-Star Kevin Durant became the first player since Allen Iverson to score at least 25 points in 22 consecutive game. Against the Hawks, Durant scored 33 pts (9-18 FGs, 1 3's, 14-14 FTs) with 11 rebs, 3 asts, 2 stls, 1 block and 2 TOs.

Honorable Mention:
Lebron James - Cleveland Cavaliers
22 pts (7-14 FGs, 1 3's, 7-7 FTs) 6 rebs, 15 asts, 1 stl, 1 blk and 4 TOs.

PF - Chris Bosh - Toronto Raptors

Raptors forward Chris Bosh had a monster game in a losing effort against the Indiana Pacers. Bosh had 35 pts ( 13-22 FGs, 9-12 FTs) with 15 rebs, 3 asts, 1 stl, 2 blks and 3 TOs. He's proving himself on the court that he belongs in the All-star game and not resorting to this ridiculous video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hv7IZP7u9FE) he did a few years back.

Honorable Mention:
Marcus Camby - L.A. Clippers
11pts (5-10 FGs, 1-2 FTs) 9 rebs, 3 ast, 4 stls, 4 blks and 1 TOs.

C - Chris Kaman - L.A. Clippers

Chris Kaman returned to action after missing 2 games with a left ankle inury and scored 21 pts (10-20 FGs, 1-2 FTs) grabbed 11 rebs, dished out 3 asts, swatted 1 blk and with only 2 TOs in 40.4 mins. The Clippers success this year rests on Kaman's shoulder. The Clippers are 0-6 when Kaman was not playing.

Honorable Mention:
Dwight Howard - Orlando Magic
22 pts (7-10 FGs, 8-13 FTs) 11 rebs, 1 ast, 5 blks and 6 TOs.

The Stinkers

PG - Mike Conley - Memphis Grizzlies

Mike Conley struggled against a tough Cavs defense. He managed just 3 pts (1-6 FGs, 1-2 FTs) grabbed 2 rebs and had more TO's (2) than asts(O), 3's (O) and stls (1) combined. WTF, a starting PG with 0 asts just isn't gonna cut man!!

Honorable Mention:
Brandon Jennings - Milwaukee Bucks
2 pts (1-7 FGs) 3 rebs, 4 asts and 1 stl.

SG - Ben Gordon - Detroit Pistons
Ben Gordon played just 16.2 mins and managed 7 pts ( 2-6 FGs, 1 3's, 2-2 FTs) with 2 rebs and 1 TOs. For a guy earning 10 mil per season, this will not do. Joe Dumars clearly overpaid him over the summer and the Pistons are going to suffer dearly.

Honorable Mention:
John Salmons - Chicago Bulls
2 pts (1-4 FGs) 3 rebs, 3 asts.

SF - Marvin Williams - Atlanta Hawks
Marvin Williams had an unproductive game against the Thunder. He scored just 4 pts (2-7 FGs) and grabbed 6 rebs and nothing else. Being drafted before Chris Paul and Deron Williams, you gotta show more effort than this mediocre performance.

Honorable Mention:
SF - Carlos Delfino - Milwaukee Bucks
8 pts, (2-13 FGs, 4-4 FTs) 6 rebs, 3 asts, 2 stls and 3 TOs.

PF - Yi Jianlian - New Jersey Nets

Yi Jianlian played one of his worst game of the season against the Detroit Pistons. Yi scored just 3 pts (1-12 FGs, 1-1 FTs) 5 rebs and 1 blk. With the Nets on the verge of getting the worst record of all-time, Yi will need step up for the team to avoid such an embarrassing distinction.

Honorable Mention:
Jonas Jerebko - Detroit Pistons
6pts, (2-6 FGs, 2-2 FTs) 4 rebs and 2 asts.

C- Joakim Noah - Chicago Bulls

Joakim Noah is still dealing with plantar fasciitis and finished with just 8 pts (4-6 FGs, 0-1 FTs) 6 rebs, 1 blk and 4 TOs. Noah is obvious playing through the pain, all owners can do is ride it out and hopefully he gets better.

Honorable Mention:
Andris Biedrins - Golden State Warriors
4 pts (2-3 FGs) 8 rebs and 1 blk.
